As summer break comes to a close, the excitement and anticipation of a new school year begin to build. For students, the excitement of a new school bag and shiny new shoes begins to be replaced by academic angst about what the new school year holds. For teachers stepping back into their classrooms, the pressures of shaping the next generation’s minds start to take form.
Teachers face the challenges of managing classroom dynamics, meeting curriculum goals, and supporting the individual needs of their students while trying to maintain their own well-being—an impossible feat if you ask us.
We’re on a mission to empower teachers through coaching, helping them build resilience, strengthen their mindset, and find a community of like-minded individuals with whom they can be open about their pressures and anxieties.
With an alarming 44% of teachers planning to leave the industry, something must change. Teachers often cite burnout, stress, and lack of resources as the reasons for leaving teaching. But behind all of these factors lies a deeper issue: mindset. The way teachers approach their work, manage stress and perceive their role has a significant impact on their own well-being and their ability to inspire and empower their students.
At TTM Coaching, we believe empowering educators is the first step to empowering the next generation. By addressing teachers’ mindsets through coaching, we can help them build confidence, manage challenges more effectively, and cultivate a positive environment for students and teachers alike. Coaching offers the space to reflect, set goals, and develop strategies that enhance their personal and professional growth.
“After years in education in various roles, I understand the importance of mental and physical wellbeing for teachers. I firmly believe that equipping individuals in both the public and private sectors with coaching skills can foster more productive, happier, and healthier environments.”
Janice Neilson, Partner & Education Director, TTM Coaching“Our educators have a huge responsibility in helping grow and shape the trajectory of future generations. But often with that responsibility also comes pressure. Our educators need to be at their best in order to uplift and inspire their students. When educators feel supported and empowered everyone wins. Our goal is to provide that support to as many educators as possible, so that they can start the school year with confidence and clarity.”

As part of our back-to-school campaign, we’re talking to teachers to understand the unique challenges they face as they return to school and sharing helpful strategies to thrive in the new school year.
We want to create a supportive community where educators can connect, share their experiences, and learn from each other. We encourage teachers, school leaders, and education professionals to join us in this movement.
